Wisconsin Dells is filled with so many amazing sights to see. Between the unique area attractions, the breathtaking state parks, and natural beauty of the Wisconsin River, here are a few family-friendly places that have kept visitors coming back to the Dells year after year.

The Waterparks!

When families talk about visiting Wisconsin Dells, most of the time it involves visiting a waterpark! With outdoor waterparks, indoor waterparks, slides and rides to thrill, and pools for the little ones, you’re sure to find an activity for every member of the family at a Wisconsin Dells Waterpark!

The Ducks

These Amphibious vehicles have been around Wisconsin Dells for over 70 years! On this guided tour, splash down in the Wisconsin River and Lake Delton while seeing the natural beauty of the Dells. There are two great Duck Companies operating today in Wisconsin Dells, Dells Army Ducks & Original Wisconsin Ducks!

Wisconsin River

Whether taking a Dells Boat Tour or renting a boat in the Upper Dells at Holiday Shores, or the Lower Dells at River’s Edge Resort, the Wisconsin River is a sight to see! The natural sandstone cliffs surrounding the water can only be seen in this region of the river. One of my favorite activities on the river is a Jet Boat Ride!

Tommy Bartlett Show

This Ski, Sky, and Stage Show is in its 64th season of entertaining visitors to Wisconsin Dells. Enjoy 90 minutes of amazing tricks and thrills, performed by award-winning water-skiers! We invite you to come see why The Tommy Bartlett Show is known as “The Greatest Show on H2O!

Rick Wilcox Magic & Comedy Show

This top-rated TripAdvisor attraction is a must-see when visiting the Dells. Rick & Suzan Wilcox have been entertaining their audiences with their comedy and illusions show since the theater opened back in 1999. Each year, new illusions and tricks are added to the show, making it a magical experience for the whole family.

H.H. Bennett Studio

H.H. Bennett is the photographer who first attracted visitors to Wisconsin Dells with his beautiful landscape photographs of the area in the late 1800’s. His most famous photograph demonstrating his advanced shutter photography features his son, Ashley, leaping over Stand Rock in Wisconsin Dells. Now, the H.H. Bennett Studio in Downtown Wisconsin Dells is an interactive museum, offering a hands-on learning experience of H.H. Bennett’s inventions and photographs.

Big Sky Drive-In

Take a step back in time and visit the Drive-In Theater in the Dells. Big Sky Drive-In, one of the last of its kind left in Wisconsin, features twin screens so you can enjoy two movies for the price of one! Big Sky usually shows current movies, the same that are in theaters, and they have an on-site concession stand with a variety of food, including their famous Mamaburger and homemade sloppy joes! Big Sky Drive-In is located just east of Wisconsin Dells on Highway 16.

Dells Lumberjack Show

Enjoy a new kind of entertainment this summer at the Dells Lumberjack Show! This show includes professional lumberjacks, medalists, and athletes performing events such as axe throwing, log rolling, the obstacle pole, standing block chop, and many other lumberjack activities! Families and groups of all sizes are welcome to come experience this northwoods entertainment. Dells Lumberjack Show is located right next to Paul Bunyan’s World Famous Cook Shanty!

Timbavati Wildlife Park

See over 400 animals that represent over 70 different species at Timbavati Wildlife Park! The kids will enjoy the pig races, riding the Safari Train, or even taking a camel ride! Learn about the different animals in the park and where they came from through Timbavati’s daily wildlife presentations! There are many activities for the whole family at Timbavati!  Located at 2220 Wisconsin Dells Parkway, be sure to stop on your next visit to the Dells.

Wisconsin Deer Park

Since 1952, generation after generation have been coming back to visit Wisconsin Deer Park and see that old Wisconsin Dells charm! Feed and pet live tame deer as you stroll through 4 blocks of exhibit! Wisconsin Deer Park also features many other types of animals, including baby goats, birds, llamas, emus, lemurs, elk, bison, and even pigs! Wisconsin Deer Park is an interactive petting zoo for the whole family! Visit Wisconsin Deer Park in the Dells from May-October. 

These aren’t the only reason’s people visit Wisconsin Dells. There are yearly festivals and events, like Taste of the Dells, Automotion, & Wo-Zha-Wa that keep visitors coming back year after year.
