What to Bring to The Waterpark!

You’re heading to the waterpark with your family & friends and you don’t want to bring a ton of stuff with you, only the essentials. Some questions to ask yourself are:

1. Do I need to rent a locker?
2. Will I be purchasing any food or drinks at the Waterpark?
3. Are towels provided or do I need to bring your own?
4. Will I be changing clothes in the locker room or just going back after to my car/room?

For starters, don’t forget your keys. Whether you are going to the Waterpark from your room or your car, nothing puts a damper on the end of a waterpark visit more than getting locked out! I know this goes without saying, but be sure to wear water shoes or a pair of flip-flops to and from the waterpark in order to protect your feet!

Next, I’d plan on bringing a Credit or Debit Card if you plan on purchasing something to eat or drink at the waterpark. Spending time splashing around does burn a lot of calories!

In some cases, depending on where you visit, you may be able to use your room key or waterpark wristband to pay for food & beverages. Check with the waterpark you plan on visiting and see what food outlets are available.

Also, I’d recommend bringing an ID in case you plan on purchasing an adult beverage. For most of you visiting a waterpark, you are on vacation and nothing helps you relax like a cocktail or draft beer!

Be familiar with the Towel Policy at the waterpark you are visiting. Some may provide towels while others may require you to bring your own. I’d recommend bringing one anyways as a backup and because sometimes the towels at the waterpark aren’t made from the finest cotton.

It’s totally up to you if you want to bring your phone or not. If you do, I’d suggest renting a locker to store your valuables while in the waterpark.

When visiting the waterpark, I usually bring a cheap bag where I store everything from my towel to my shirt. Then I use the bag to “Mark” my spot where I revisit between rides and when I need a break.
