Whether you’re a fan of exotic animals, want to visit a family-friendly petting zoo, or enjoy horseback riding through trails of forest, Wisconsin Dells has your fix of where you can see and experience animals during your summer vacation.

Petting Zoos

Wisconsin Deer Park has been a favorite attraction for families since 1952! Your family will enjoy feeding and petting the over 100 tame deer! Wisconsin Deer Park also features other wildlife, such as goats, fawns, birds, lamas, pigs, emu, lemurs, elk, bison, and even horses!

Experience camel rides, feed parakeets in the bird encounter, hand feed giraffes, and see over 400 animals representing 70 diverse species at Timbavati Wildlife Park! The park has everything, from exotic birds to mammals, and even reptiles! Your children in the group will enjoy riding the Safari Train or Swine Time Pig Races, and the whole family can learn about the different animals at one of the Wildlife Presentations. Timbavati is great for groups, families, and corporate events. They even offer VIP Behind the Scenes Tours for your group.

Horseback Riding & Carriage Tours

Canyon Creek Horseback Riding Stables is a family-friendly adventure that takes you through their own Wild West Town! See running water, wildlife, ride through the 200ft tunnel, pass by “Boot Hill Cemetery” and visit their own town of “Tombstone.” This western town is sure to provide you with a unique horseback riding experience.

Lost Canyon Tours take you on a horse-drawn carriage ride through the Dells Lost Canyon. Experience towering sandstone cliffs as you ride in a comfortable, quaint carriage.  These tours run every 15 minutes in the summertime and visitors are able to enjoy the sandy beach, picnic tables, charcoal grills, snackbar, & restrooms to have their own picnic!

Just north of Wisconsin Dells, Red Ridge Ranch offers guided horseback rides as well as summer wagon rides. The horseback rides take you through 250 acres of rolling farmland along the Lemonwier River. The wagon rides comfortably hold 10-15 people and take you among the beautiful scenery and wooded hills. Both options are for all ages!

Beaver Springs Riding Stables offer guided tours in the scenic lower Wisconsin Dells Wildlife Refuge. Cross bridges and experience all sorts of wild animals when you come to Beaver Springs. You can even try your luck at hooking a fish at their fishing park. Beaver Springs is an attraction for all ages.
