Wisconsin Dells is proud to offer attractions that keep families coming back year after year and continue to create wonderful memories. With new attractions and businesses constantly being added around town, I’d like to take this opportunity to recognize a few businesses that are celebrating milestone anniversaries this year!
At 25 years, the Dells Mining Company offers a unique experience in Wisconsin Dells. All ages can experience what it was like to mine their own gems at the turn of the century. Grab a bucket of rich, quality mining soil from the fields of Franklin, North Carolina and sift through the pans to find gemstones such as amethyst, blue topaz, garnets, rubies, emeralds, sapphires and many more. You’re able to keep everything you find and Dells Mining Co. can even help you turn your findings into jewelry. With 2 locations in the Dells area, congratulations to Dells Mining Company on 25 years!
Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park is celebrating its 45th Anniversary this summer in Wisconsin Dells! With an on-site water playground, activity pool, and hot tub included with your stay, you might have the chance to even get your photo taken with one of the Yogi Bear characters! The park offers Red Carpet Camp Suites, Theme Sites, Budget Camp Sites, and all the hookups for water & electric, as well as vacation packages to include area attractions. From generation to generation, Yogi Bear ’s Jellystone Park is a Dells favorite. Best wishes on their 45th season!
The historic and amphibious Wisconsin Dells Duck Companies are celebrating 70 years this summer. With tours starting on land and then plunging into both the Wisconsin River and Lake Delton, learn about the landforms and rock formations surrounding the Dells area. Congratulations to both the Dells Army Ducks and Original Wisconsin Ducks on 7 great decades!
The oldest business in Wisconsin Dells, the H. H. Bennett Studio, celebrates its sesquicentennial (150 Years) this year! Walk through the H. H. Bennett Studio and explore the photographs of the natural scenery and landscape that helped to make the Dells a popular destination. Experience Bennett’s stereoscopic views, which are two photographs from different perspectives, making the image appear to be 3D! You can also learn about how H. H. Bennett helped the Ho-Chunk people by recording their heritage and history through photographs. Compliments to the H. H. Bennett Studio in Wisconsin Dells on 150 “picture-perfect” years!
