Tube, Ski, and Snowboard Around the Dells

If you’re a fan of snow activities, then listen up! Wisconsin Dells is surrounded by many ski hills that each offer unique slopes for all skill levels. Whether spending the day cruising down the hill with friends or challenging yourself with speed, skiing and snow tubing are definitely a must on your Dells vacation this winter.

Cascade Mountain features a full 23 trails with up to 3 feet of snow for winter fun! The Badger Bowl, which is a medium difficulty skill hill is my favorite one to ski down. At night time, the trail is well lit so you’re able to see where you’re going. When I’m not in the mood for skiing, I either get out my snowboard or head to the 5 lanes of Tube Town, where no experience is needed to tube down their 900 foot long chute! I usually race my friends down the tube hill at Tube Town…and win!

At Christmas Mountain Village, take advantage of 16 downhill ski & snowboard runs with twists and turns for everyone’s enjoyment. There’s even a snowshoe trail to explore! With a KidZone Learning Area and a fire pit to warm up by, Christmas Mountain Village is great for the whole family. Call Christmas Mountain for current updates and to double-check the hills are open at (608) 254-3971.

Devil’s Head Resort & Conference Center offers skiing galore! The 300 acres of terrain make it the 3rd largest skiable mountain in the midwest! Of the 30 ski runs, the longest one clocks in at 3,500 feet! The Devil’s Playground is my favorite hill and is pretty nice for me since I’m a beginner. Devil’s Head resort also offers wicked snowboarding for anyone interested.

Many Dells area resorts offer lodging options that include ski packages to the ski hills above. Check each place for availability. For more information on activities near Wisconsin Dells please visit: https://www.dells.com/activities/
