One of the major benefits to the park is how beautiful it is, thanks in large part to the wooded shoreline and the large number of cliffs that surround it. The park offers almost 18 miles of trails that are used for cross country skiing purposes. Cross country skiing aficionados will also be pleased to know that additional skiing trails are in the development process and will be open to the general public in the near future.
