Wollersheim Winery recently celebrated the grand-opening of their new 25,000 square foot distillery! Located on the same property as the award-winning winery, Wollersheim Distillery is attached to the current winery’s fermentation building. With the grand opening this past weekend, the distillery has released several spirits, including Coquard Brandy No. 3, Wisconsin Apple Brandy, Apple Eau De Vie, Garden Gate Gin, and Dancehall Absinthe Blanche.
Wollersheim Distillery is focusing on “locally sourced-locally grown” ingredients for all of their spirits. The Wisconsin riverside bluff where the distillery sits features grapevines that were planted in the 1840’s. Historical records date Brandy making at Wollrsheim Winery back to 1876 and the brandy making has been reawakened now in 2015!
