Wollersheim Winery & Distillery
Wollersheim Winery & Distillery, located on a scenic hillside overlooking the Wisconsin River in in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin, is a destination where you can experience wine history as old as Wisconsin. The property, now a National Historic Site, was first cultivated by European vintners over 150 years ago, and was established as Wollersheim Winery in 1972. Today, the vineyards comprise 27 acres of hybrid grapes.
Wollersheim Winery is open for tours and tastings daily, year-round, from 10am to 5pm. See wines being made in the winery’s modern fermentation facilities, and aging in historic stone cellars, on a winery tour. Taste flights of Wollersheim wines, which include a variety of reds, whites and blushes, and range from dry to sweet, pleasing every palate. Enjoy a glass of wine with striking vineyard views in the outdoor Wine Garden. The winery also hosts public events throughout the year.
Wollersheim Winery is recognized as a leader in the Midwestern wine industry, having won multiple double-gold medals for its premium grape wines. It was named 2015 Small Winery of the Year at the Riverside International Wine Competition in Riverside, California. It also won Wine of the Year 2013 for its Dry Riesling and Winery of the Year in 2012, at consecutive San Diego International Wine Competitions.
