When you think of words to describe Wisconsin Dells, what comes to mind? If Waterparks are on your top 10 list, then listen up! Even though we are well into the winter season, we’ve got plenty of Indoor Waterparks worth splashing for. Here are a few to check out on your next Wisconsin Dells vacation:
As a guest at the Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort, there are 3 great Indoor Waterparks to choose from! The Klondike Kavern Waterpark is over 65,000 square feet of fun for all ages. A highlight is the popular Hurricane slide! The Wild WaterDome is 70,000 square feet and features a roof that you’re actually able to tan through in the wintertime! This waterpark is also home to Margarita’s Swim-Up Bar! The Wild West Waterpark spans over 70,000 square feet and features slides, a large kids feature called the Ransack Ridge, and even an indoor/outdoor spa!
Medusa’s Indoor Waterpark at Mt. Olympus Resort features many activities for both kids and adults. If you’re feeling lazy, yet adventurous, drift among the Mayan Raging River. Explore a beached 35-foot long pirate ship complete with tattered sails, tunnels, and five water slides, while waterspouts and geysers entertain the little ones for hours and hours within their Hispaniola Bay kiddie area. Anaconda and Boa are 2 tower slides that are 10 stories high! If you’re tired out from all of the activity and a day full of fun, take a break and collect your thoughts in the Sacred Well Whirlpool or Jaguar Hot Tub. Feel the soothing waters and listen to the calming sounds. Just sit back and relax, you deserve it.
My favorite waterslides at Chula Vista’s Lost Rios Indoor Waterpark are the Matador Mat Racers. I usually win whoever I’m racing against! After that, I take a zip through the Flyan Mayan Up Hill Water Roller Coaster, and end my day on the Rio Rapids Action River. Check out the many other slides and rides to explore at Chula Vista Resort.
Atlantis Waterpark Hotel & Suites boasts an indoor Water Kingdom with two 40-foot long tunnel slides, a 5-foot long toddler slide, spray & play water features, and a lap pool with water basketball and an indoor whirlpool! In the 16,000 square foot facility, you’ll also find the poolside bar & grill!
Two other great indoor waterparks in Wisconsin Dells include the 125,000 square foot wet & wild waterpark at Kalahari Resort, and all of the opportunities to swim, splash, & slide at Great Wold Lodge!
Keep in mind that many area hotels & motels such as AmericInn, Holiday Inn Express, and Ambers Resort & Conference Center also offer indoor play area. Check with the place your staying to see what they offer! Baby it’s cold outside, but always warm when you visit a Wisconsin Dells Indoor Waterpark!
