Spending New Year’s Eve at or close to a resort means you can feel safe knowing you have a place to stay and easy transportation there. Less stress means more fun and an unforgettable vacation to kick off 2014!

Chula Vista – Spend the last day of 2013 splashing around Chula Vista’s awesome indoor waterpark! Kids will love the ultimate children’s party Chula Vista will be hosting which includes: games, clowns, magicians, bounce houses, a family dance party, and special New Year’s Eve favors and surprises. As the sun sets and the final hours of 2013 begin to tick away, join The Pinsetters (a well-known rock band) for a rocking way to begin 2014, or head to a jam-packed dance party where the latest club music will set the beat for the new year. Ticket purchase includes unlimited tap beer, wine, liquor, and soda, plus a midnight champagne toast and balloon drop! For an additional cost, dinner at the Market Fresh Buffet can be added to your ticket for a complete New Year’s Eve.
Great Wolf Lodge – Have real little tikes that just can’t make it to midnight? Great Wolf Lodge has an 8 p.m. balloon drop just for them! Before and afterwards, there will be family activities and crafts for all ages. All the funtivities kick off at 6 p.m. with family karaoke, a photo booth, a rubber duck-decorating contest for the chance to win fabulous prizes, a family craft room, and a family game room which includes: bingo, face-painting, balloon animals and more. All of this will be happening until at least 8 p.m., if not 10 or 11. At 8 p.m., after the little ones have their fun and are all tucked in, the family dance party starts! The perfect New Year’s Eve bash for families, everyone will be smiling as they say goodbye to 2013 and hello to 2014.
Kalahari Resort – Save at the Kalahari Resort with their New Year’s Eve special! The package includes: a two nights stay for up to four guests, four New Year’s Eve buffet passes (2 adults, 2 children), admission to the indoor waterpark, and four indoor theme park passes. The Kalahari’s extensive New Year’s Eve buffet has a carving station, multiple appetizer bars, a fresh garden bar, several entrees, and complimenting sides, the “dessert bar extravaganza”, and a children’s buffet. The New Year’s Eve bash will be held in the main ballroom for family friendly activities, games, music, and a balloon drop at midnight. Wilderness Resort – The Wilderness is hosting not one, but TWO New Year’s Eve parties! You read that right! This New Year’s Eve bash will span across two ballrooms; one for families and one geared more towards adults (which includes a laser light show). Both parties will have complimentary party favors, punch, prizes, and a midnight balloon drop. Some of the prizes include $400 Wilderness gift cards and a $1,000 return stay! Prior to all of the fun, make your reservation at the Wild Canyon Café for a wonderfully delicious New Year’s Eve Buffet. The buffet will include: two carving stations, roast beef, multiple fresh seafood options, complimenting sides and appetizers, a salad bar, and a dessert bar. If you ring in 2014 a little too hard, Wild Canyon Café is also having a New Year’s Day breakfast buffet.
Mt. Olympus Resort – Unique and festive, Mt. Olympus Resort’s New Years Eve party is held in the lobby of the hotel! Enjoy your favorite foods such as burgers, pizza and fries, as well as drinks and a live DJ. Items included with the celebration are party favors and a champagne toast at midnight. Those 21 and over can catch the shuttle for free over to Club WETT for a party more their scene.
21 and over
Club WETT – Starting at 8 p.m. and not stopping until 7 a.m., WETT Night Club’s New Year’s Eve bash will have you partying well into 2014! Dance the night away as several live DJ’s spin the year’s greatest hits while you enjoy a midnight balloon drop, confetti cannons, party favors, and complimentary champagne. The Reef at Marley’s – The best in all that music has to offer, DJ Felix and MC Logan will be spinning it all, including: reggae, 80’s, top 40, urban, rock, country, and dance music for a dance party like no other, covering all ages. A live countdown, champagne toast, and a balloon drop at midnight complete this awesome New Year’s Eve bash. Downtown Dells – For a more casual New Year’s Eve celebration head to Downtown Dells where multiple bars and parties await! Most bars will be open until 6 a.m. and each will be offering their own drink and holiday specials for guests to enjoy. Showboat Saloon for example will not have a cover charge for their New Year’s Eve bash and is having a “champagne of beer” toast at midnight. You can’t get much more laid back than that!
Ho-Chunk Casino – Only $14 gets you into three unique and awesome New Year’s Eve parties at Ho-Chunk Casino! You can party at Lube (Upper Dells Ballroom), Madison County (Lower Dells Ballroom), or Spin (Wo-Zha-Wa Sports Bar & Grill). Prize drawings will be held at each venue throughout the night. Before the festivities begin, enjoy a formal, unforgettable dinner at Copper Oak Steakhouse or an extensive buffet at Standrock. Be sure to try your hand at the casino. New Year’s Day
The Dells even has events going on New Year’s Day! Head to Monk’s at The Wilderness for their 2014 Capital One Bowl – New Year’s Day Party. The kickoff for Wisconsin versus South Carolina begins at noon.
