This year, Wisconsin Dells is bringing you some adventure in the sky, new water activities, the Midwest’s largest all turf sports complex, and much much more. Along with all the original fun and excitement, here is just a glimpse of what’s new and in store for you this season.
Mt. Olympus Theme Park & Water Park is adding an over 140ft tall vertical swing this year called The Manticore. Named after a winged creature in Greek Mythology, The Manticore can carry up to 24 riders. The 12 arms, which umbrella out from the top of the ride will each have 2 seats, and the middle shaft will be illuminated by LED lights. For those of you not afraid of heights, take flight on The Manticore this summer when you visit Mt. Olympus Resorts.
Woodside Sports Complex is a multi-sport outdoor facility 1 mile north of the Dells, consisting of 6 synthetic turf multi-purpose fields, 4 turf baseball or softball fields, 6 batting cages, a full concessions & retail area, 2 separate meeting rooms and a spectacular VIP viewing area. Whether you’re visiting Woodside for a sports game or are looking to rent a field for a practice, Woodside Sports Complex is proud to become the Midwest’s largest all turf sports complex.
Just a short drive from Wisconsin Dells, check out the new Driftless Glen Distillery, which features a full working distillery specializing in vodka, gin, moonshine, cream spirits, and brandy. The distillery is located right on the Baraboo River and is open for lunch, dinner, and a Sunday Brunch. Grab a drink from the bar and enjoy the great atmosphere and beautiful scenery surrounding the distillery. Tours are available daily!
Wisconsin Dells welcomes the new Pinball Arcade Museum! For the low cost of $10, play your way through dozens of pinball machines, arcade games, racing games, and even jukeboxes dating back to the 1940’s. Explore vintage machines from the the 1930’s up to the 1980’s!
Wollersheim Winery, known for their award-winning wines, is in the process of building a 25,000 square foot distillery. The distillery will be attached to winery’s fermentation buildings and will be used to make brandies, whiskey, absinthe, & gin. Wollersheim Distillery will focus on “locally sourced-locally grown” ingredients and plans to open up this summer!
Paddle Boarding is now being offered at Dells Watersports. Experience the newest craze as you paddle the surface of the water while standing or kneeling on your paddle board. If your balance is good while guiding yourself across the lake, you won’t even get wet! Dells Watersports offers paddle boarding in 1 hour rentals, 4 hour rentals, and daily rentals. Don’t worry if you want to try it first with an experienced paddle boarder as 1 hour guided trips are available to teach you how to get up on your board!
New this year at Chula Vista Resort is Heightened Adventures Aerial Park. This six acre park is filled with challenging adventures for kids and adults of all ages. With 4 ropes courses from easy to challenging, you’ll scale heights from 10 feet to 45 feet off the ground! Tours can be self guided or with one of the areal park’s trusted park monitors. If you’re not the adventurous type, observation areas are available for family members and friends to get a great view of the action.
Wisconsin Dells is proud to introduce its newest store specializing in primitive home decor and gifts, A Homespun Heart. Located in Downtown Wisconsin Dells, this unique shop features a variety of handmade items to decorate any type of home. If you’re looking for a custom handmade piece of art, they’d be happy to help create exactly what you’re looking for.
Mr. Marvel’s Wondertorium is a 1 hour guided journey where you can experience the strange, bazaar, and unusual. Start out with a tour through the museum of oddities. You can pet a snake-necked turtle, see a Mexican walking fish, come close to shrunken heads, and see a few other unusual creatures. After the museum tour, Mr. Marvel and his family will put on a show for you where you’ll be able to feel the heat from fire being eaten, see a contortionist cram himself in a box, and much more. The show takes place at the Wintergreen Resort & Conference Center and shows are Saturday thru Monday throughout the entire summer.
