Ladies Night Out

Cocktails, food, friends and of course…fashion! House of Embers hosted the first annual ultimate Ladies Night Out on Tuesday, November 19th. Normally Tuesday nights lack excitement but not in Wisconsin Dells! Only here can you experience fabulous weekday events such as this one.

At 5:30 the cocktail hour started for the perfect way to wind down from work. The sleek lounge was full of girlfriends enjoying wine and martinis while they chatted away. Meanwhile, the models were busy finalizing their outfits and preparing to show off the latest winter fashions.

When 6:30 rolled around, everyone was escorted to the dining room where warm dinner rolls and to-die-for garlic butter were waiting. Once everyone was settled in their seats, the waiters came around with the first course: an apple and shaved romaine salad with creamy cheddar dressing, spiced pecans and smoked bacon. The perfect mix of sweet and smoky, this salad was delicious! The models appeared then, taking the time to stop at each table to explain their outfit along with the prices. The first outfit set was casual, featuring mostly funky patterned sweater dresses with cozy scarves and extra warm fleece-lined leggings.

The second course was shrimp and steak napoleon with basil choron sauce accompanied by a duo of whipped potatoes and vegetable. If the smell of Christmas had a taste, this would be it! Incredible! This dish took talent as the sauce perfectly complimented both the steak and the shrimp. The models came out once again dressed this time in holidazzle worthy outfits. Ideal for holiday parties or to ring in the New Year, there was a dress and accessories for each age group to admire. Every outfit sparkled with rhinestones or sequins and was completed with equally dazzling accessories and unique clutches.

Black and white chocolate mouse cake (yes it’s as delectable as it sounds) was the grand finale! The models returned for a third time, dressed in business-casual: perfect ensembles for work, meetings or dressier events and dinners. From curve-flattering pencil skirts to flirty shrugs and eye-catching, but not flashy, accessories that pulled it all together, the whole evening was a fashion yes.

During dessert, the owner of the dress boutique and bridal shop which supplied the outfits for the fashion show gave away raffle prizes and spoke a little of Brides N’ Belles recent expansion and new clothing options. Everyone who attended the event received a card for 20% off! Brides N’ Belles in Reedsburg is one of the only nearby bridal and event specialty shops. It got its’ start as a bridal boutique supplying stunning gowns for weddings and prom as well as bridesmaid dresses, tailoring and suit rental. Recently, Brides N’ Belles expanded to two stores, the newest one now including clothing for everyday and formal wear. For more information head here: www.bridesnbells.com.

Mary Kay beauty consultant, Becky Herman, also made her rounds as she handed out goodie bags full of make-up samples and gift certificates for a complimentary skin care and glamour makeover as well as $10.00 worth of free products. She hosted her own raffle for a high-end cleansing brush. For more information on Mary Kay, its’ products, and Becky head to: www.marykay.com/rherman.

Thanks to House of Embers, Brides N’ Belles, and Becky, it was a Tuesday night filled with incredible food, gorgeous fashion, flirty make-up, girlfriends, and fun! Fingers crossed that this becomes a yearly event but in the meantime keep an eye on www.houseofembers.com for upcoming events and specials, including holiday menus.
