This blog post was published on March 16, 2017 and may contain outdated information.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! There’s Irish cheer to be found in Wisconsin Dells. Whether you’re a dedicated leprechaun or just enjoy a few of the shamrockin’ festivities, there’s no easier way to feel the spirit of St. Paddy’s Day than to indulge in some Corned Beef & Cabbage. This tradition, dating back to the late 1800’s, is now a St. Patrick’s Day staple in America.

There are many ways to make this traditional dish. The most common involves cooking the corned beef with spices and water in a pot for a few hours, then adding cabbage, other vegetables, and letting the pot simmer for an additional 30 minutes.

If you’d prefer to let somebody else do the cooking, we don’t blame you. Whether you enjoy your corned beef & cabbage with green beer, a cold Guinness, or a green minty shake, here is a list of a few spots in Wisconsin Dells serving up this St. Patrick’s Day treat:

High Rock Cafe

Spring Brook Sports Bar & Grill

The Keg & Patio

Monk’s at the Wilderness

Pizza Pub

River’s Edge Pub & Grub

Bobbers Island Grill

Boomtown Saloon

Moosejaw Pizza & Dells Brewing Co.

If you’re feeling lucky on St. Patrick’s Day, Showboat Saloon, a locals favorite, will be giving away a trip to Ireland! Live music at 9pm by WheelHouse as well as drink specials will ensure a legendary evening this St. Patrick’s Day at Showboat Saloon.
