Jupiter Ascending – 02/06
Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis) was born under signs that predicted future greatness, but her reality as a woman consists of cleaning other people’s houses and endless bad breaks. Caine (Channing Tatum), a genetically engineered hunter, arrives on Earth to locate her, making Jupiter finally aware of the great destiny that awaits her: Jupiter’s genetic signature marks her as the next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos.
The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water – 02/06
Life is well in Bikini Bottom until SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs discover that the Krabby Patty secret formula is missing. The entire town of Bikini Bottom goes searching until the aroma of Krabby Patties leads them to land. Only SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, and Sandy are brave enough to continue. Their adventures on land lead them to the culprit and they morph into super heroes in order to fight for their recipe back.
Kingsman: The Secret Service – 02/13
Gary “Eggsy” Unwin (Taron Egerton), whose late father secretly worked for a spy organization, lives in a South London housing estate and seems headed for a life behind bars. However, dapper agent Harry Hart (Colin Firth) recognizes potential in the youth and recruits him to be a trainee in the secret service. Meanwhile, villainous Richmond Valentine (Samuel L. Jackson) launches a diabolical plan to solve the problem of climate change via a worldwide killing spree.
Hot Tub Time Machine 2 – 02/20
After the events of the first movie, it is revealed that Nick and Lou used their knowledge of the future to enrich themselves – Nick by ripping off songs from artists before they were originally released, and Lou capitalizes on advance knowledge of tech advances to appear as a technology guru. During a party in Lou’s honor, he is shot by an unknown assassin. Nick and Jacob use the time traveling hot tub to try to get back to the past to learn who shot him and undo the damage, but they inadvertently end up ten years in the future. Jacob reasons the assassin came from the future, which they must alter if they want to save their present-day environment.
McFarland, USA – 02/20
Track coach Jim White (Kevin Costner) is a newcomer to a predominantly Latino high-school in California’s Central Valley. Coach White and his new students find that they have much to learn about one another, but things begin to change when White realizes the boys’ exceptional running ability. More than just physical prowess drives the teens to succeed; their strong family ties, incredible work ethic and commitment to their team all play a factor in forging these novice runners into champions.
The DUFF – 02/20
A high-school senior (Mae Whitman) sets out to reinvent herself and revolutionize the student body’s social order after learning that a judgmental classmate has given her an embarrassing nickname, the DUFF (Designated Ugly Fat Friend).
