It’s Autumn time in Wisconsin Dells. This means that the natural scenery in the area is glistening with color-changing leaves and brisk Autumn air. A great place to view this is the Wisconsin Dells River Walk. Besides the State Parks to explore around Wisconsin Dells, there are many great attractions to visit this fall. Whether you’re a toddler, teen, or Adult, there’s something for you to explore in the area.
This year-round activity is definitely a workout, and well worth the fun! After you put on the harness, you climb up the towers, and zip from suspension cables at up to 40mph! You’ll see amazing fall scenery and as you zip above the trees by Bigfoot Island and Sasquatch Lake. This activity is for children 43 inches tall or taller, and adults in reasonably good health!
Now through Halloween is the Season of the Witch! This journey departs at the Upper Dells Boat Docks on select weekends. You board the boat in the evening time and ride upriver in the pitch black while listening to haunted stories of the Wisconsin Dells area. When the boat docks, you’re guided through a haunted forest by very dim lights where you’ll see ghosts, ghouls, vampires, and werewolves. The walking tour leads you to the witch’s canyon crypt, where you’ll see leery and scary scenes that will haunt your nightmares!
As a classic Wisconsin Dells attraction, a Duck ride takes place on one of those amphibious land and water boats. Learn about the natural history of the Dells while cruising on both the Wisconsin River, Lake Delton, and the land surrounding both. In Wisconsin Dells, we have two great Duck Tours! Both Dells Army Ducks and Original Wisconsin Ducks are scheduled to run through November, weather permitting.
At Country Bumpkin Farm Market Play Village and Petting Farm, you’ll find a 2 1/2 acre corn maze, filled with fun trivia to help you through. Next to the corn maze, there’s a play village and petting farm with food available to feed the animals. This fall, you’ll also find a Country Bumpkin Express Farm Train, Pumpkin smashing catapult, and pumpkin picking. When you get those hunger pains, there’s an on-site market and bakery with my favorite, Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream!
Canyon Creek Riding Stables offer a family-friendly themed tour right here in Wisconsin Dells. Go past an abandoned town while riding on a guided tour through the “old west” on horseback. Enjoy the outdoors at Canyon Creek.
Lost Canyon Horse-Drawn Carriage Tours take you on a ride through tall, cliff-walled gorges for a comfortable and quaint experience. Ride through the narrow cliffs of sheer rock and see spots where the sunlight hasn’t touched in over 50,000 years! This activity is great for the whole family!
