Set sail aboard the RMS Titanic and experience the thrill and fear of not knowing whether you escape alive or go down with the ship! Located at Wilderness on the Lake, D.O.A. Room Escape just opened a Titanic themed room escape, and we had the opportunity to try it out! Let me just say, I’m a big fan of the movie, so I was pretty excited!
Before you step on deck, your group watches a short video which gives you the 411 of the room and answers any question you may have. Then you create a team name and you’re given a boarding pass with the identity of someone who actually sailed aboard the Titanic! At the end, you find out whether your alias made it out alive or not! In 60 minutes time, you and your team need to solve as many clues and puzzles as you can in order to escape the ship before it sinks!
The room starts on the deck of the ship, and without giving too much away, certain parts of the movie are incorporated in the room, aka Jack and Rose! It’s a whole interactive experience from clue to clue and room to room. They have thought of every detail relating to infamous ship that went down the night of April 14th, 1912.
For those of you who have never done a room escape, it’s a great way to use different parts of your brain for lateral thinking. Even though our group didn’t make it out, we sure worked together and had a great time!
I would recommend this for groups of friends, families, and any group wanting to work together and have some fun! For more info, check out D.O.A. Room Escape!
