Wash away your worries as you float down the lazy river, catch some waves in the wave pool, or challenge your family to a friendly tube race! With thrilling slides for the adults and award-winning kiddie pool playgrounds for the little ones, Wisconsin Dells waterparks are the place to beat the August heat!
At Noah’s Ark Waterpark, explore 70 acres of outdoor slides and attractions for the whole family. As a kid, I looked forward to total darkness with my brothers as we’d embark on Dark Voyage! You’ll enjoy zipping your way through the 1/4 mile stretch of Black Anaconda, America’s Longest Watercoaster. My favorite ride is Scorpion’s Tail, which was America’s first upside-down looping body slide back in 2010! Two great children’s area include the OctoExplorer or Tadpole Bay Kiddie Kingdom. Be sure to check out the dozens more slides and rides available for all ages at Noah’s Ark Waterpark.
For guests staying at Wilderness Resort, you have access to 8 different waterparks! That’s right, 8 waterparks offering everything from wave pools to slides, a swim-up bar and lazy rivers! Be sure to chill out at the Lost World outdoor waterpark and try the Cosmic Drop! The floor literally drops from beneath you! The 70,000 square foot Wild Waterdome indoor Waterpark features a see-through roof that allows guests to tan through the roof no matter what season it is!
Challenge your friends on the Matador Mat Racers or soak up the rays at Adventure Lagoon when you visit Chula Vista Resort. There are plenty of activities and pools for the older kids, but one thing I like about Chula Vista is they have a 6-inch kiddie lazy river for the little ones! This winding river features smaller size tubes and flows around small geysers and sprockets that will keep the little ones entertained!
Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park is home to the largest wave pool in the Dells. Poseidon’s Rage features waves that are up to 9 feet tall! When you’re not climbing among the 6-story Lost City of talents water fortress, you can relax down the tube slides or face your fears on the speed slides!
On a hot day, I like to cool off under the giant bucket as it splashes water down on me in Splashdown Safari at Kalahari Resort. Kalahari offers both an indoor and outdoor waterpark with rides for children and adults of all ages.
If you have kids 10 and under, they’ll have a splashing good time at the Polynesian Water Park Resort. They can play inside and outside all day on slides and the children wet play areas. If you’re staying at the hotel, kids 10 and under stay free! In Polynesian’s waterparks, there are plenty of rides for the older kids to have a great time on too!
With the dog days of summer behind us, be sure to make your trip to Wisconsin Dells to take advantage of the outdoor waterparks before the summer ends!
