Come celebrate the end of summer and the beginning of the harvest at the Wisconsin Dells Wo-Zha-Wa Fall Festival! Although the Ho-Chunk word “Wo-Zha-Wa” has different meanings for everyone, it means “to have fun” — and that is exactly what you will get at this family favorite event.
Wo-Zha-Wa Fall Festival is filled with free family activities, including an arts and crafts fair, antique flea market, Maxwell Street Days, live entertainment and a 75-unit parade. Guests are invited to visit the street carnival with refreshment concessions and the Wo-Zha-Wa Run/Walk.
Wo-Zha-Wa’s antique flea market and craft fair always have new items to check out including unique antiques, gourmet dog treats, handmade works of art, custom pieces of jewelry, organic cosmetics, and wood flowers made before your eyes. The yearly Wo-Zha-Wa parade is a spectacle filled with floats, performers, and music that fills the entire street. The carnival rides are always a hit with kids young and old.
The festival holds Wisconsin’s oldest long-distance race in history: the Wo-Zha-Wa Run/Walk. Runners can take part in the challenging half-marathon course, or the fast-paced four-mile run. For over 40 years, community members of all ages have been pounding the pavement together in the brisk autumn air.
Every year, the Wo-Zha-Wa Fall Festival brings together the local community, friends and family for a long weekend filled with adventure, laughter and fun. The excitement that fills Bowman Park and the streets of downtown Wisconsin Dells helps keep this festival memorable for families year after year. Admission to the festival is free, so there’s no reason not to attend this Wisconsin favorite! We can’t wait to see you at the 2014 Wo-Zha-Wa Fall Festival!
