Saturday, May 3rd, 2014 – Amazing Race: Rec Trek

Sponsored by Big Foot Zipline and based off the popular television show, “The Amazing Race”, this will be a family event open for up to 20 teams to participate! Teams will race around Wisconsin Dells and Lake Delton competing for prizes along the way. You don’t have to be a family to compete but must have at least one member over 18 and one under the age of 18. Everyone who participates gets a free t-shirt and the top 3 teams that win will be awarded prizes.  However, other teams will have a chance to win door prizes. No matter what, it will be a thrilling day for all who race!

Saturday, June 14th, 2014 – Block The Sun Run

This 5K run and 3K walk event supports “miles for melanoma” and raises money for skin cancer research. The most common form of cancer, participants can feel good about completing a marathon and supporting an important cause! The 3K (2 miles) walk is a fun walk for all ages, strollers, groups, etc. and is a non-competitive, non-timed event. The 5K run (3.1 miles) is timed and competitive as the top 3 placing females and males will be awarded prizes. All kids 12 and under receive a participation ribbon and there will be awards for fundraising as well! Registration opens at 7 a.m. and will take place at Spring Brook Resort. The race kicks off at 8:15 a.m. and will be followed by live music, food, a silent auction, raffles, and awards.

Saturday, September 13th, 2014 – Wo-Zha-Wa Run

Wisconsin’s oldest long distance run, participants have their choice between the 4-mile run and the half marathon (13.1 miles). What could be better than celebrating reaching the finish line with Wisconsin Dells’ largest festival? The runs begin at 8 a.m. and racers can head right downtown immediately after for food, drinks, rides, games, music, crafts, sales and fun! Plus, you’ll be running along the scenic country roads while enjoying the perfect, crisp Fall air and all competitors will receive a free t-shirt for participating. Runners are timed and ranked in finishing order in both men’s and women’s categories. In it’s 4th decade, around 250 runners participate every Fall!

Challenge yourself this year and compete in one of these three intense yet rewarding events. Help a great cause, celebrate the coming of Fall, or push yourself to the limit. Either way, you’ll be racing in the place Where Nature and Fun Collide, Wisconsin Dells!
