Located at 190 State Hwy 13, right next to Mexicali Rose, Wis River Kayak Rentals offers open top kayaks and Wisconsin’s ONLY kayak with “training wheels”. These training wheel kayaks are virtually impossible to tip over, making them great for people wanting to try out kayaking and offering the ultimate beginner experience. Currently, the launch for Wis River Kayak Rentals is across from the Kilbourn Dam and the business picks you up just off of Indian Trail Parkway, approximately 5 miles down the Lower Dells of the Wisconsin River.
Each trip averages anywhere from 3-4 hours based on your speed down the river. After you launch and get flowing, you’ll paddle by many of the famous rock formations that have kept visitors coming back to the Dells for decades! These include Baby Grand Piano, The Sugar Bowl & Caves, Hawk’s Bill, The Ink Well, Lone Rock, and many more! You might even catch a glimpse of some wildlife along the way!
