Restaurant of the Week – Kaminski’s Chop House

An impressive portion doesn’t even begin to describe the dining experience you’ll have at Kaminski’s Chop House. Nestled amongst the tall Wisconsin pines and offering a stunning view of the Wisconsin River, Kaminski’s is located at Chula Vista Resort and is sure to give you an evening you won’t soon forget!

Arrive early so you can enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the beautiful bar. Wine is the ideal compliment to any steakhouse and with 301 different bottles available for purchase wine enthusiasts will be in heaven. Several classic reds and whites have single glass options as well. If wine isn’t your thing, turn to Kaminski’s impressive martini, cocktail, and beer menus. The well-educated bartenders can assist with any questions and are more than happy to give recommendations based on personal preferences.

Everything on the menu apart from the entrees is meant to share because Kaminki’s is “where size matters”. Seafood lovers will enjoy their start to the evening as the appetizer menu is largely compromised of seafood favorites such as a jumbo shrimp cocktail and oysters Rockefeller. If you aren’t interested in appetizers, your meal automatically begins with warm bread and butter as well as everyone’s favorite, the “garbage salad”. This salad is not something you can describe, its something you’ll have to experience for yourself.

A steak lovers dream, Kaminski’s gets their meat from the “nation’s premier meat supplier” and therefore, “offer corn-fed, dry-aged, center-cut beef, inspected and selected by master butchers”. Kaminski’s strives to work with local beef suppliers as often as possible so their steaks are as fresh as can be. They also only work with the best seafood suppliers so you can guarantee prime steaks and succulent seafood. Tender filets, flavorful New York strips, fresh fish of the day, and massive yet divine crab legs and lobster tails, Kaminski’s will ensure you experience only the best. Don’t worry vegetarians, their 3 cheese raviolis and other meat-free entrees are beyond incredible!

Their sides for the table, and they are not kidding, only add to all the divine flavors of the entrees. Favorites include a heaping mound of the fully loaded mashed potatoes and a steaming pile of the asparagus and/or broccoli with hollandaise. The hash browns ‘KBC’ and huge baked potato are tasty options as well. Really, you can’t go wrong with the sides but be sure to order at least one, as no Kaminski’s experience is complete without them. If there is anyway at all you still have room, try to save some for the dessert menu. The sundae comes in a unbelievably large martini glass and comes with a wide array of topping including various candy pieces and sauces. Yum!

Overall Kaminski’s is an experience in and of itself. Architecturally chic meets gorgeous riverside views and endless unbeatable food for an unforgettable evening. A vacation to The Dells is not complete without dining at Kaminski’s. For more information and a detailed menu head to: http://kaminskibros.com/about.html. Happy eating!
