The November movie preview is filled with comedy, sci-fi and family-friendly flicks. Here’s just a short preview of what the box office has in store for the month of November.
Interstellar – 11/7
Could there be a future among the stars? From the director of Inception and the Dark Knight trilogy, comes Interstellar. With life on earth coming to an end, a group of explorers undertake a journey to explore whether or not mankind has a future in the universe. Cooper (Matthew McConaughey) and Brand (Anne Hathaway) travel through a worm hole in search of a new home to save the human species. This movie is rated PG-13 for intense action and strong language.
Big Hero 6 – 11/7
If you’re a Disney fan, expect to fall head over heels for their newest addition to the Disney classics. Big Hero 6 follows a young robotics prodigy, Hiro Hamada (Ryan Potter) and a band of high-tech, crime fighting heros as they embark on a journey to save their beloved city. Filled with lots of heart and humor, Big Hero 6 is sure to have audiences captivated. Big Hero 6 is rated PG.
Dumb and Dumber To – 11/14
Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carey) and Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels) return to the Dumb and Dumber stage with Dumb and Dumber To, opening on November 14th. This sequel comes 20 years after the original and is filled with hysterical characters and hilarious plots. Follow the duo as Harry searches for his long lost daughter and Lloyd deals with the ups and downs of love. Dumb and Dumber To is rated PG-13 for crude and sexual humor, partial nudity, language and drug references.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 – 11/21
The worldwide Hunger Games phenomenon continues on November 21st with Mockingjay Part 1. For those of you who have not yet indulged in the 3rd book of The Hunger Games trilogy, don’t worry… we’re not here to spoil the plot. The movie follows Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) upon completion of the Quarter Quell and her quest to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson). Deemed a hero and revered by the people of Panem, Katniss is forced to face some of her biggest and most dangerous obstacles yet. The awaited Mockingjay Part 1 has topped several of 2014’s “most anticipated” movie lists. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 is rated PG-13 for sequences of violence, some disturbing images and thematic material.
Penguins of Madagascar – 11/26
Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private are back in a tale of epic proportions. Follow the would-be penguin spies as they join forces with The North Wind (a chic undercover organization) to help save the earth. You can’t help but giggle at the group’s dynamics. Penguins of Madagascar is rated PG.
