July Movie Preview

Summer is in full-swing here in Wisconsin Dells, and the warm weather and hot sun’s rays may have you looking for shade and some cool air conditioning! Look no further than a movie theater! Grab a seat, a soda, and some popcorn and enjoy the cool A/C while watching one of the latest flicks!

Deliver Us From Evil – 7/2

You’ll be shocked to know that Deliver Us From Evil is inspired by real accounts of a NYPD sergeant. This action/horror flick will have you grabbing your armrests. Sergeant Ralph Sarchie (Eric Bana) is dealing with his own personal issues when he takes up a case investigating a series of inexplainable crimes. He joins forces with an unconventional priest (Edgar Ramirez) who has studied the rituals of exorcism extensively. Together, they combat demonic possessions that terrorize their city. This movie is rated R.

Earth to Echo – 7/2

One of the great July kid’s movies, Earth to Echo is a heartfelt and comic adventure. Tuck, Munch and Alex are losing their neighborhood to a large highway construction project, and if that isn’t enough, their lives are about to collide with an outrageous alien being. A spin on the classic ‘ET’, Earth to Echo will have you on the ride of a lifetime!

Life Itself – 7/4

This documentary film follows the inspiring and entertaining life of the well-known film critic Roger Ebert. The story is personal, funny, and extremely transparent. Based on Roger’s bestselling memoir, the movie explores the entirety of Ebert’s life, from his Pulitzer-winning film criticism at the Chicago Times to his journey to become one of the most renowned voices in US history. This movie is rated R.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes – 7/11

Led by their leader, Caesar, a wild nation of genetically-evolved apes is challenged by a group of human survivors. They reach a short-lived peace but eventually battle again to determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species. This groundbreaking, gripping and rewarding sequel offers mature science-fiction themes, complex emotional performances (both human and digital), and riveting combats! This film is rated PG-13, and is filled with action & adventure.

Planes – Fire & Rescue – 7/18

The Planes cast is back with new characters and exciting adventures! World-famous air racer Dusty suffers from a damaged engine and is taken off the race roster. Looking for a fresh start, Dusty joins a courageous team of fire & rescue aircraft. He helps the crew battle a massive fire and finds out what it takes to be a true hero. Planes – Fire & Rescue is rated PG!
