Skiing, tubing, snowboarding and snowmobiling are extremely popular this time of year. Let’s take a closer look at snowmobiling in the region and what you can expect from a snowmobiling at Wisconsin Dells.

The Wisconsin Dells area covers four counties including Adams, Columbia, Juneau and Sauk. Each of these counties welcomes snowmobilers and offers a variety of trails and amenities. Let’s take a quick look at each.

Adams County

With over 200 miles of well-marked trails, Adams County embraces snowmobilers. Adams County businesses and area clubs sponsor snowmobiling events and races throughout the winter, and even a few in the summer! Many area businesses and restaurants even afford snowmobiling visitors access to parking. Columbia County

Columbia County has an active Association of Snowmobile Clubs that keeps on eye on the county’s trails and conditions. They suggest always contacting their Hotline at 608-227-7433(608-CCSRIDE) before heading out. Trail maps for the county can be downloaded here:

Juneau County

Hundreds of miles of neatly groomed and well-marked snowmobiling trails await you in Juneau County. There are some great rides here along rivers and lakes and odds are pretty good you will encounter some wildlife. The county is proud of the diverseness of their trails. Sauk County

This Wisconsin Dells area County has about 220 miles worth of trails that await snowmobilers. Visitors can glide through by the Baraboo Bluffs, Devils Lake and Natural Bridge State Parks. The Sauk County Association of Snowmobile Clubs spearheads the activities interests in the county and you can visit their website for details.
