Loverboy – 10/10 at 7:30pm
For more than 30 years, LOVERBOY has been “Working for the Weekend” and on weekends, delighting audiences around the world since forming in Calgary, Alberta, when vocalist Mike Reno was introduced to local guitar hot shot Paul Dean, both veterans of several bands on the scene, at that city’s Refinery Night Club. The band found themselves playing on mega tours with Journey, Bob Seger, Cheap Trick, ZZ Top, Kansas and Def Leppard, to name a few; they quickly became MTV darlings, being one of the first bands ever featured on the music channel. LOVERBOY went on to win a still-record six Juno awards in 1982, and were one of the Top 5 grossing touring acts in the world, performing in over 100 cities across the U.S. and Canada. Their success made them the first Canadian group ever to earn Columbia Records’ exclusive Crystal Glove Award, celebrating the sale of over five million albums outside their native country. Since 1992, the band has maintained a steady road presence, with Sony/Legacy releasing a greatest hits compilation, LOVERBOY – CLASSICS, in 1993, which went gold five years later.
Mickey Gilley – 10/17 at 8pm
In 1971 along with business partner, Sherwood Cryer, he opened the world famous Gilley’s night club in Pasadena, Texas. The club would grow and one day enter the Guinness Record Book as the World’s largest Honky-Tonk. By the mid-seventies his songs were hitting the country charts with regularity. As the eighties neared, Gilley’s was growing bigger with every day. With the club rising in popularity so too did Mickey. To name a few of his many hits, “City Lights”, “I Overlooked and Orchid”, and “Don’t the Girls All Get Prettier at Closing Time” all reached number one on the Billboard Country Charts. Mickey’s success along with the attention of an Esquire article led Paramount pictures to film movie Urban Cowboy in 1979. The movie’s soundtrack featured many popular artists including a huge hit by Mickey, “Stand By Me”, which went platinum and made Mickey a household name. Today, Mickey’s show is full of stories, music, and tender moments. You just never know what he is going to say and do and the audience loves it.

Air Supply– 11/28 at 7:30pm
Graham Russell & Russell Hitchcock met on May 12, 1975, at rehearsals for “Jesus Christ Superstar” in Sydney, Australia; they became instant friends with their common love for The Beatles and, of course, singing. In 1980 “Lost in Love” became the fastest selling single in the world, leaping to the top of all of the charts and was named Song of the Year. Seven top-five singles later, Air Supply at that time had equaled The Beatles’ run of consecutive top five singles. The albums Lost in Love, The One That You Love, Now & Forever, and The Greatest Hits sold in excess of 20 million copies. The trademark sound of Russell Hitchcock’s soaring tenor voice and Graham Russell’s simple yet majestic songs created a unique sound that would forever be known as Air Supply.
