Autumn Attractions

With the fiery colors perched atop the trees and the brisk, cool air making it’s home in Wisconsin; its hard not to fall in love with Wisconsin Dells during the autumn season. There’s plenty to do (both inside and outside) during the fall months! For those of you who are looking to take advantage of the beautiful fall weather, we’ve compiled a short list of attractions that seem to be a perfect fit with the outdoor autumn air!

Boat Tours and Duck Tours

See the fall colors up-close and personal from the waters of the upper and lower Dells of the Wisconsin River. It’s hard to beat the views of the fall treeline reflected on the the river’s calm waters. Each river tour takes a slightly different route, giving you breathtaking views around every bend. You’ll see the stunning, sandstone cliff surfaces and deep-cut gorges of the Wisconsin River all from the comforts of your seat! The boat captains and guides are extremely knowledgeable, and offer a running commentary of Wisconsin Dells history throughout the tour. Horseback Riding

Both Canyon Creek Riding Stable and Red Ridge Ranch offer phenomenal views of the beautiful fall colors by horseback. The horses and the trail guides at Canyon Creek Riding Stables in Lake Delton know the lay of the land. This easy-going, western-themed trail ride wanders through the scenic, Wisconsin Dells landscape. Finish your hour-long trail ride with a visit to Canyon Creek’s petting zoo! Just a short drive from Wisconsin Dells at Red Ridge Ranch, you will be matched up with a horse fitting your riding abilities and take a one-hour guided tour through farm and woodland areas. At Red Ridge Ranch, you’ll be treated to beautiful scenery with a view of the Lemonwier River. Bigfoot Zipline Tours

Looking to soar in and above the vibrant treetops? Be sure to check out Bigfoot Zipline Tours on your next trip to the Dells. Weather permitting, this attraction is open year-round, and is staffed with Sky Rangers that will have you feeling right at home over 100 feet off the ground! While ziplining might not be the first thing that comes to mind as a go-to attraction in Wisconsin, Bigfoot Zipline Tours are a daring and exciting experience for a huge variety of ages. We’ve seen countless 5-star reviews from ages 4 to 50! You won’t find a more unique view of the fall colors than from the ziplines at Bigfoot! Timbavati Wildlife Park

The Timbavati Wildlife Park season runs May 1st thru the end of October, and is perfect for the animal lover in your group! Fall is the perfect time to explore the grounds of Timbavati and take a walk on the wild side. The rich reds and yellows of the trees are the perfect backdrop for the animals who reside at Timbavati. The park is home to a variety of big cats, lemurs, giraffes, kangaroos, penguins and more! Timbavati Wildlife Park is located at 2220 Wisconsin Dells Pkwy in Wisconsin Dells. Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf

Enjoy the fall colors from the greens of Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf! Open from late-March thru early-November (weather permitting), Pirate’s Cove is home to 5 separate mini-golf courses, each with a differing level of expertise! Start off by golfing around and over a large waterfall on Blackbeard’s 18. Step it up a notch with the Pirate’s Lookout 18, a slightly more challenging course with a great view of the Wisconsin River. Top off your mini-golf adventure with a swing at the Pirates Challenge 18 (the most challenging of the 5 courses). Wisconsin Deer Park

Open from mid-April thru late-October each year, the Wisconsin Deer Park planted roots in the Dells over 50 years ago! Put on a jacket and some sneakers and spend an afternoon feeding the deer and other animals that call Wisconsin Deer Park, home. You’ll be face-to-face with several species of deer, goats, game birds, llamas, horses, emus, lemurs, elk, bison and pigs! Go-Karts & Roller Coasters

Add some speed to your trip with the go-karts and roller coasters at Mt. Olympus Theme Park & Water Park. With 5 thrilling roller coasters and 8 go-kart tracks, you might have a hard time picking which one to ride first! Your admission to the park also gets you access to the indoor waterpark and indoor theme park.
