Andy North and his wife Sue are extremely passionate about what they do. Their hard work and dedication has paid off immensely in a collaborative effort to raise money and awareness for cancer research at the UW Carbone Cancer Center. Andy, Sue, family and friends have teamed up in the Dells with the Kalahari Resort and Trapper’s Turn Golf Course to help find a cure by raising over $900,000 this past weekend.
The annual event in the Dells raises nearly $1,000,000 dollars each year for the UW Carbone Cancer Center. UW Carbone Cancer Center is recognized as the only comprehensive cancer research center in the state of Wisconsin and leads all other federal facilities in cancer research. The 6th annual event took place Sunday (6/1) and Monday (6/2) and was once again a huge success. Like previous years, pro-athletes and celebrities gathered at the Kalahari Resort and Trappers Turn Golf Course to support the cause.
The two-day long event featured an extraordinary, semi-formal cocktail dining experience on Saturday evening at the Kalahari Resort coupled with both silent and live auctions, and a star-studded photo booth. This year, Andy North and friends took it to the next level and made it easy for attendees to bid on silent auction items with a mobile bidding option. The silent auction opened online several days before the event, and allowed people who couldn’t attend this year’s event to bid.
Sunday gave way to a mouthwatering breakfast for registered attendees 
before hitting the greens at Trapper’s Turn golf course. This star-studded event had participants mixing and mingling with some of the best sports professionals in the world. Annika Sörenstam, one of the greatest female golfers of her generation, and perhaps the best of all time visited and swapped tips with guests. Robin Yount, a Major League Baseball player who spent his entire career with the Milwaukee Brewers spent time mingling and sharing his stories with guests. What Wisconsinite wouldn’t know Bo Ryan or Aaron Rodgers? They both graced the list of celebrities that attended the event to help raise money for cancer research.
