The Wisconsin Dells area is home to a variety of fun, fall activities! So put on your jacket and spend some time outside this autumn season. We’re highlighting some of the area’s pumpkin patches and corn mazes to help make your trip easier!
Red Ridge Ranch
Just a short drive from Wisconsin Dells, fall harvest and Halloween activities will begin at Red Ridge Ranch on September 20th, and continue through October 31st! Daily activities will be running from 10am-5pm and will feature a corn maze, pumpkin picking and painting, inflatable moon walk, petting zoo and tractor-drawn hay rides! Beginning in October, Friday and Saturday nights at Red Ridge Ranch will step up the spook with haunted hay rides and corn mazes starting at dusk. If you are looking for a twist on the traditional pumpkin patch, check out the Riverside & Great Northern Railway’s Pumpkin Train Rides. The kiddos will love riding the miniature train to a secluded pumpkin patch! Once reaching the pumpkin patch, kids will be able to choose a pumpkin souvenir! Pumpkin Train Rides are scheduled for every weekend in October. No ghosts, no ghouls, just family-friendly fun! Riverside & Great Northern Railway is located at N115 County Road N in Wisconsin Dells. Head to the Chula Vista Farm for an afternoon of fun, food and more! Family-friendly activities include everything from a kiddie obstacle course to inflatables and face cut-outs for fantastic photo opportunities. Take a ride on one of Chula’s hay wagon rides, or try your hand at the pumpkin/potato slingshot! New this year is Chula Vista’s 7-acre corn maze! This new-age corn maze has the capability of incorporating GPS technology and smartphone trivia. Harvest-themed food and beverages are also available at the farm. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult. The Chula Vista Farm is located near the Highway 13 and Chula Vista Parkway intersection in Wisconsin Dells (turn east on 9th Street at Chula Vista intersection go 1/8th mile). This adorable, family-owned and operated farm opened in 1997 and has been serving up fantastic produce and family fun ever since! Their 2.5-acre corn maze comes with a handout of helpful hints to guide you on your journey. During the month of October, Country Bumpkin offers weekend hay wagon rides traversing the 30-acre produce farm. The property also features 3 pumpkin patches, kid’s play houses, a pedal cart raceway, petting zoo and more! Country Bumpkin Farm Market is located at E9745 County Road P in Wisconsin Dells. For another fun, harvest time tradition, visit the Mid-Continent Railway Museum on October 18-19. Climb aboard the Pumpkin Special (full-size locomotive) and journey to Quartzite Lake where locally-grown pumpkins are waiting for you! Trains depart 4 times daily, and each ride runs the 7-mile round-trip journey in about an hour. Pumpkins are not included in ticket price.
