Trains + Kids = Awesome Meal We brought our 15 month old and our friend's 2 1/2 year old to Buffalo Phil's for lunch on February 15, 2010. They sat the four of us along a counter that was along the railroad tracks. The kids were mesmerized. They sent different trains around with different things on the cargo bed (Elmo doll, helicopters, cranes) . They even sent the chicken fingers and fries the kids ordered on the train! It stopped in front of us and we took the food and the train started up again. The kids were so well behaved during lunch because they had continuous amusement. My husband and I loved that we could actually enjoy our meal without trying to keep the kids busy and happy during dinner. The food was good - we ordered thin crust pepperoni pizza and chicken strips for the kids. The service was great - cheerful and prompt. Everyone left happy! We will definitely be back!

Great dining experience for the entire family We come to the Dells at least once a year with the family. Every time we come, the kids always demand the Buffalo restaurant. The atmosphere is fantastic! It's definitely something that you're not going to see at your typical chain restaurant. The kids love the Train room! At the end of the meal, we had them deliver our ice cream sundaes on the train, which was pretty exciting for our 4-year old. The BBQ pizza is my favorite. If you like thin crust pizza, you'll love their pizza. They have also recently added a buffet, which makes it very convenient to get in and out in a timely manner

Buffalo Phil's kept 35 of us, ages 2-86, entertained, fed and satisfied. We recently had a family reunion at the Dells and were looking for a restaurant with good food, no wait and quick service. WE found it all at Buffalo Phil's. We had a wide age range of family members and were worried about keeping three 2-4 year olds occupied while the adults and young adults were able to talk and socialize. The "train" kept the young ones entertained for a solid two hours. We had a blast served with good food and drink. Phil's has a very unique atmosphere. You will love it.

Lunch buffet with a train table was good Having stopped at the Riverside and Great Northern Railroad earlier, we decided to continue the train theme and get lunch at Buffalo Phils. We waited a few extra minutes to be seated at a train table (even though we were getting the lunch buffet). The kids liked getting their drinks off of the model train and generally enjoyed watching it go around and deliver food while we ate. The price of the buffet was reasonable and it was pretty good with pizza, soup and salad. The pizza was decent and we all ate enough to keep us going the rest of the day.

Good Food Fun Buffalo Phil's was so much fun. It's really neat inside and the food was good. I ordered the Texas Chicken Salad and it was so good and a lot to eat. After we ate we went next door and my son played some of the games. Very cool place.

I will be back! The great atmosphere was backed by GREAT service and excellent food. My 7 year old and I were very much taken by the train food delivery system. I thought it was very unique. Very cool for young and old. The food was priced very reasonable. The tab for my son and I was $20.00. The next time I am in the Dells I will return!!

Great food and atmosphere Had the Pulled Pork Sandwich with their Kilbourn Hop Ale. Food was great service was excellent. Would recommend for anyone looking for a fair priced bar-b-q joint.

Excellent Food and Entertainment for the Kids We ordered the lunch buffet x3 and was good. Awesome entertainment for the kids too!!! Will for sure return!

The kids will like this one! We were waiting for the rest of our party to meet up with us but hadn't eaten all day so we thought we would go in and grab a bite. Our kids are 8, 6 and 2. The drink and food are delivered by trains, they loved that! They also got neat little buffalo Phil hats so their experience was awesome! We ordered an entree of pulled pork and fries and it was enough for all of us to hold us over till dinnertime. The restaurant seemed pretty clean and the prices were reasonable. There is a HUGE arcade on the side, right by the bathrooms, and it's called Knuckleheads...so lots of family time there. Try it out

Good place for lots of kids We ate here with 16 kids and 6 adults. The restaurant never batted and eye at the numbers and the waitress was really good with the kids and 2 spilled drinks. She was tipped quite well. The food was very good especially the pulled pork and the rotisserie chicken.

Good value and good food. Friendly staff, very good food! Portions are large and it seemed the little kids in the restaurant really enjoyed the train-delivered food.

Skip reading the review, just head to Buffalo Phil's. It's that good. We've eaten here a couple times. GREAT FOOD!!!! If you have kids ask to sit by a train table. The rotisserie chicken is simply the best I've ever had. Very moist and flavorful. Other food is good as well.
