Benefits and Sponsorships for Lake Delton
Wilderness Resort - July 26th, 2008
The Wilderness Hotel and Golf Resort is hosting a Family Fun Day Benefit July 26 at the Glacier Canyon Lodge Convention Center from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. to help raise money for local flood victims.
Proceeds, including those from the cash bar and food stands at the event, will be donated to the American Red Cross Wisconsin Flood Relief Fund. Other fund raising activities at the benefit are caricature sketches for $10, a silent auction ending at 6 p.m. and a live auction set to begin at 6 p.m.
Items for both auctions are being donated by local community members. Some of the items that will be available to bidders at the silent auction are four Milwaukee Brewers tickets, four 18-hole golf passes to Chula Vista and gift certificates to several local spas.
There will also be some free activities at the benefit including casino games, air bouncers, hair braiding, face painting, a free showing of The Bee Movie with free popcorn at 2:30 p.m. and pictures with a Delton fire truck and a Dells Raceway stock car.
Superman, Wonder Woman, Barbie and Ken, Miss Wisconsin Michelyn Butler and Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby are expected to make appearances. Crosby will be at the benefit from 4 to 6 p.m. and will be signing autographs for $15.
