a)
Within 24 hours after the cessation of any fall of snow it shall
be the duty of the owners and/or the occupants of any lot or parcel
of land in the City of Wisconsin Dells to remove the snow from any
and all sidewalks and the nearest crosswalks adjacent to the premises
of such owner or occupant, and to keep the same free and clear of
snow and ice.
(b) In the case of the failure and neglect of any owner or
occupant of any land or parcel of land to remove the snow from sidewalks
as specified in subsection (a) within the time set forth in said
subsection, then the owner or occupant has committed an offense
and may be cited pursuant to subsection (d). Each day's continuance
of any violation shall constitute a separate offense. If, after
72 hours after the cessation of any fall of snow, the owner or occupant
has failed to remove such snow from sidewalks as specified in subsection
(a), then the Director of Public Works may remove or cause the snow
to be removed from any and all sidewalks and crosswalks that may
be so neglected by the owner or occupant, and a fee as established
by resolution adopted pursuant to Section 2.05 shall be assessed
against the owner or occupant for the cost and expense of removing
such snow. The fee will be charged against the respective lots and
parcels of land adjacent to which said work shall be done, as a
special tax, and such sums or sums shall be collected in the same
manner as other special taxes.
(c)
No persons shall plow, push, or otherwise deposit in the street
the snow from within the lot lines of the property owned or controlled
by him, in such manner or in such quantity as to create an obstruction
in the street or otherwise create a traffic hazard, unless the person,

cause the same to be removed from such street.
(d)
Any person, firm, or corporation who shall violate any of the
provisions of Section 5.04(4) of this Code shall, upon conviction
