Spring Leaf and Brush Pick-up:
Please contact the Public Works Department for exact dates.
Leaves must be placed in plastic bags. Tree limbs must be cut in
reasonable lengths and stacked uniformly. Trimming done by private contractors will not be picked up.

Fall Pick-up:
Please contact the Public Works Department for exact dates.
Items for pick-up include leaves (which must be placed in plastic bags), brush, limbs and wood. Tree limbs must be cut in reasonable lengths and stacked uniformly. Trimming done by private contractors will not be picked up. Please contact the Public Works Department for removal of construction debris. A $5.00 tag must be purchased for each item
such as furniture, appliances, televisions, tires and porcelain. Toxic Waste such as volatile liquids and chemicals will NOT be picked up.

Side Walk Snow Removal:
Per Wisconsin Dells Municipal Code section 5.04:

4) Removal of Snow - Sidewalks.
a) Within 24 hours after the cessation of any fall of snow it shall be the duty of the owners and/or the occupants of any lot or parcel of land in the City of Wisconsin Dells to remove the snow from any and all sidewalks and the nearest crosswalks adjacent to the premises of such owner or occupant, and to keep the same free and clear of snow and ice.

(b) In the case of the failure and neglect of any owner or occupant of any land or parcel of land to remove the snow from sidewalks as specified in subsection (a) within the time set forth in said subsection, then the owner or occupant has committed an offense and may be cited pursuant to subsection (d). Each day's continuance of any violation shall constitute a separate offense. If, after 72 hours after the cessation of any fall of snow, the owner or occupant has failed to remove such snow from sidewalks as specified in subsection (a), then the Director of Public Works may remove or cause the snow to be removed from any and all sidewalks and crosswalks that may be so neglected by the owner or occupant, and a fee as established by resolution adopted pursuant to Section 2.05 shall be assessed against the owner or occupant for the cost and expense of removing such snow. The fee will be charged against the respective lots and parcels of land adjacent to which said work shall be done, as a special tax, and such sums or sums shall be collected in the same manner as other special taxes.

(c) No persons shall plow, push, or otherwise deposit in the street the snow from within the lot lines of the property owned or controlled by him, in such manner or in such quantity as to create an obstruction in the street or otherwise create a traffic hazard, unless the person, firm, or corporation depositing such snow shall, within 1 hour thereafter, cause the same to be removed from such street.

(d) Any person, firm, or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of Section 5.04(4) of this Code shall, upon conviction thereof, forfeit not less than $10.00 nor more than $100.00 together with the costs of prosecution, and in default of payment of such forfeiture and costs of prosecution shall be imprisoned in the county jail until said forfeiture and costs are paid, but not exceeding 30 days.
